Dokbua restaurant, located at the beautiful Maikhao Dream Villa Resort & Spa, offers stunning sea views and a large selection of Mediterranean and Thai cuisine.

We were fortunate enough to dine on a Friday, which gave us the chance to try their set Latin menu and listen to live music in their beautifully decorated dining space with enormous windows overlooking the beautiful Phuket sunset.

With options from Smoked Salmon Crepe to Pork Picatta Meunière, one of the most notable dishes offered on the menu is the Baby Octopus Salad with avocado, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, Parmesan cheese and a light vinaigrette dressing. It is the perfect choice for something filling, yet light and healthy. The dressing is what makes it a winner, balancing all of the flavors with the fresh baby octopus.

Dokbua also offers seafood platters for two for those wanting to dine on the freshest ingredients offered by the Andaman. Sets include The Royal and The Royal Ocean, each with a variety of Phuket lobster, blue crab and assorted mussels, clams and prawn.

However, the menu is also very vegetarian friendly, offering plenty of other options, such as Sicilian Penne and Blue Cheese Soufflé, and marking each vegetarian dish on the menu to make it easy and convenient for diners to find – a rare find thus far in Phuket. With both resort and outside guests, Dokbua also offers a large selection of beverages and fine wines from around the world.

Take in the view of the amazing Phuket sunset as you sip on signature cocktails such as James Bond Island Dream, Mai Khao Sunrise and Pearl of the Andaman or enjoy a glass of wine from their vast wine cellar. If you happen to be in Mai Khao and are craving a little Mediterranean with a view, Dokbua is the place for you.
